Building Inspections

Inspection Request:
Contact Melonie McLendon, (706) 595-5355, to schedule an inspection. Inspections should be called in at least 48 hours in advance.

New House:

  • Footer/Slab inspection required before any concrete is poured
  • Rebar and grade stakes in place
  • Step Downs in place
  • Plumbing in Slab in place with test (if required)
  • Vapor Barrier installed

Rough-in inspection required before any insulation or sheet rock installed

  • Framing complete
  • Electrical rough in complete
  • Plumbing rough in complete
  • HVAC rough in complete

Electrical Release

  • Electrical 100% complete
  • Drain Lines connected to sewer/septic system
  • HVAC disconnects installed

Certificate of Occupancy Inspection:

  • All work 100% complete
  • Address displayed

Mobile Home

If available, the mobile home set up manual must be on site.

1st Inspection:

  • Inside must be accessible
  • Footers Piers and anchoring in place
  • Electrical installed
  • Plumbing installed
  • HVAC Duct installed

2nd Inspection:

  • Masonry Completed
  • Steps and Landings Completed
  • HVAC Completed
  • Address Displayed

After these steps are completed the power will be released.
