The following job vacancy is available in the Tax Commissioner Office.  Qualified and eligible individuals interested in applying for this position may submit an application to Human Resources no later than January 14, 2022.

Position 1:      Tax and Tag Clerk

Department:  Tax Commissioner

Grade:            10

Hourly Rate:  $15.00

This position greets and services the public on tax matters and is responsible for processing tag and title applications for the general public, collecting fees for vehicle registrations, maintaining and indexing files, performs duties in tax and mobile home sections of the Tax Commissioner’s Office

Minimum qualifications includes: High school graduate or equivalent; typing skills and computer skills; some general clerical experience involved in all phases of office administration with exposure to the public; must attend 40 hours of school conducted by Motor Vehicle Division and Department of Revenue in order to implement new rules and regulations regarding motor vehicle and property tax laws.
